Alexandria: A minimalistic cross-platform eBook reader
mupdf is the mupdf of epub; it supports epub and other formats beyond pdf¹. When I've had really large files I've used mupdf to read them a few times, as it seems to be far better at handling them than other tools.

Pdf reader for less memory consumption
Doesn't exactly fit your requirements, but might as well mention it here: muPDF - the most lightweight PDF viewer that I've ever seen. You don't even have to install it. Mobile version exists by the way.

I don't see anything about that on ArchWiki or MuPDF's website. Could you provide details on how it is obsolete and what critical vulnerabilities it has?

Show HN: I am building a new Python library to read/write PDF files
I think you might mean PyMuPDF (https://github.com/pymupdf/PyMuPDF), a Python library built on top of the MuPDF C library (https://mupdf.com/).
PyMuPDF and MuPDF are both available under dual open source AGPL and commercial licenses. They have been around for many years and are under continual development.
[Disclaimer, i work for Artifex, who wrote MuPDF and recently acquired PyMuPDF.]

YouTube shut down 15 years old audio developer's channel for "reasons"
My appeal is still pending: https://github.com/sschueller/peertube-android/issues/302

What 2023 will bring for PeerTube
Cool, I hope they keep it "safe for play store review". I have had to run my own server in order to get the client[1] I wrote to pass play store reviews.

Question:how's the experience of using PeerTube as a consumer?
There are various attempts out there to build a mobile client: Thorium, P2Play, TubeLab, and NewPipe are the ones we know about, but they're all of varying quality and features. There has yet to be an "official" client, or a client really good enough to recommend to newbies.

Nice, I added your instance as a follow on troll.tv. ( will show in the default feed in the Thorium android app https://github.com/sschueller/peertube-android )

Tusky suspended from Google Play Store
Sadly I am quite sure my app [1] will eventually be removed from the play store as well if it ever becomes popular with the "wrong crowd". All it does is provide a way to connect to peertube (also fediverse like Mastodon) instances and watch videos. Which instanced you follow is up to you not me. Content is moderated by the peertube instance owners not me and I am not going to bother adding an instance blacklist for something I don't make any money from. Especially since you can reach any instance just using chrome.
