Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

How to Do Authorization - A Decision Framework: Part 1
You can find numerous libraries dedicated to authorization, depending on the language you use. For example, CASL is a Javascript library that helps you model flexible authorization schemes utilizing a set of declarative APIs. The “give me the list of Article readable to the current user” problem can be modeled and queried like the following:
-
Want to make restricted access with Cognito
You must do something like ACL, Cognito layer isn't the way to achive what do you want to do. Remember, Cognito isn't nothing more than an 3rd party authorization provider with user pools, restricted access to your own resources must be handled in your logic app layer instead Cognito. However I suggest you to read about ACLs (can you check out this ie https://github.com/stalniy/casl) and differences between ACLs and authentication providers.

-
YAGNI exceptions
PS If you do mobile / web work (or something else with "detached" UI), I find that declarative access control rules are far superior to imperative ones, because they can be serialized and shipped over the wire. For example, backend running cancancan can be easily send the same rules to casl on the frontend, while if you used something like pundit to secure your backend, you either end up re-implementing it in the frontend, or sending ton of "canEdit" flags with every record.

@casl/vue: What should my ability.js file look like?
I'm trying to integrate @casl/vue with Vue 3, and I'm afraid I'm having problems.

I made a complete Team support in React for my App: a Multi-tenancy SaaS. Live demo in the comments
Do you have any experience? How does it compare to other alternative like https://casbin.org, https://casl.js.org? There are tons of libraries, actually I'm little bit lost.

A Software Engineer's Tips and Tricks #1: Drizzle
In the world of software development, there are two kinds of developers: those who have never had to complain about ORMs and those who have actually used them. Whether it’s Django ORM for Python, Active Record for Ruby, GORM for Golang, Doctrine for PHP, or Prisma for TypeScript, a common issue persists: writing simple queries is straightforward, but constructing complex or optimized queries can take hours, if not days.

End-To-End Polymorphism: From Database to UI, Achieving SOLID Design
Unfortunately Prisma hasn’t supported polymorphism yet. As such, you can't use inheritance to model the entity in the same way as in your programming language, as depicted in the above class diagram. The good news is that we could intimate it using table inheritance to imitate it.

Next.js App Router Course
In this project I am manually declaring the data types. For better type-safety, use Prisma, which automatically generates types based on your database schema.

Next.js 14: Fetching Data
When you're creating a full-stack application, you'll also need to write logic to interact with your database. For relational databases like Postgres, you can do this with SQL, or an ORM like Prisma.

Taming cross-service database transactions in NestJS with AsyncLocalStorage
There have been multiple feature requests to add native support for AsyncLocalStorage to Prisma, but they haven't been met with much enthusiasm from the maintainers. Some people solved it by extending and overriding the client (which is arguably prone to breaking with updates).
