We ran Pinaka on an open, unresolved Prisma bug. No ground truth. Here's what it found.
Prisma issue #29480 is open. It has persisted through four minor releases β 7.5.0, 7.6.0, 7.7.0, 7.8.0 β unresolved as of the time we ran this benchmark. There is no merged fix to score against. So we had to validate Pinaka's diagnosis differently: against behavioral evidence in the codebase itself, not a known-correct answer. That's a different kind of benchmark, and it's worth being precise about what it does and doesn't prove.

The ORM Didn't Save You: SQL Injection in a Prisma Codebase
The lab is built with Next.js and Prisma, so you might assume the ORM shields you from SQLi by default, and it mostly does, until someone reaches for $queryRawUnsafe and drops user input straight into a raw query.

Prisma vs Drizzle vs ZenStack: Choosing a TypeScript ORM in 2026
If you've built a TypeScript backend in the last few years, you've probably used Prisma. It earned its place as the default choice β a clean schema language, an intuitive query API, and type safety that felt almost magical at the time.

Well, I don't know anything about marketing and you might have a point, but the severity of impact of these two words is clearly very different, so it doesn't look like a honest comparison to me. It would raise quite a few eyebrows and more if, for example, someone released a Linux distro named "Auschwitz OS", meanwhile, even in the software world, there are multiple products that incorporate the word prism in various ways[1][2][3][4][5]. I don't believe for a second that an average user encountering the word "Prism" immediately starts thinking about NSA surveillance program.
