I just learned that new Macs don't come with Emacs preinstalled
Though I don't love Ventura, running Emacs on MacOS has never really been a problem for me. It's also very easy to build Emacs. You can use this shell script if you like: https://github.com/mclear-tools/build-emacs-macos. I also list there a bunch of other build scripts from other users. Just as easy as homebrew really, with a lot more control (e.g. you can build whatever version of Emacs you like, at least back to 22).

GNU Emacs For Mac OS X warning message after macOS Monterey update
I build emacs myself from the master branch on an M1 and Monterey and don't see this issue. So it might be something either with your config or with that specific build setup.

What emacs to install on Macbook Air 2017, MacOS 11.6? I'm completely new to MacOS and emacs. Want to learn emacs+orgmode.
Here's the build script that I use. It is pretty dead simple. https://github.com/mclear-tools/build-emacs-macos

Shell script to build emacs on macos (works well with M1 mac on Monterey)
Hi all -- I've put a repo on github for building emacs on macos. There are several other such scripts available, but I've tried to make mine as simple to understand (I'm not a programmer) as possible (or as possible for me...). It currently works well for me but YMMV. Of course, I realize that there are a million ways to shave this yak, so I'd be curious if anyone has suggestions for improvement (though I'm also looking to keep things as simple as possible). I hope this might be of some use to people.

I have nearly the same problem (just different displays), so I use a Wayland version of Emacs: https://github.com/mpsq/emacs-gcc-wayland-devel-builder

Emacs pretest 28.0.92 is out
I use it on wayland without xwayland. You just have to build it natively. I'm on arch linux https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/emacs-gcc-wayland-devel-bin

Why lsp-mode for Python is unusably slow compared to Go, Ruby or JavaScript?
Is there a way to detect if my emacs was compiled with native json support? I'm using the pgtk3 emacs from here: https://github.com/mpsq/emacs-gcc-wayland-devel-builder, and experiencing the same slowness with lsp-ui-doc-mode.

Cannot recompile packagess / Error: Wrong number of arguments: (3 . 4), 2
I managed to fix this by rolling back Emacs to before when was made mandatory (this is the specific repo & release that worked for me on Arch).
