Emacs pretest 28.0.92 is out
I use it on wayland without xwayland. You just have to build it natively. I'm on arch linux https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/emacs-gcc-wayland-devel-bin

Why lsp-mode for Python is unusably slow compared to Go, Ruby or JavaScript?
Is there a way to detect if my emacs was compiled with native json support? I'm using the pgtk3 emacs from here: https://github.com/mpsq/emacs-gcc-wayland-devel-builder, and experiencing the same slowness with lsp-ui-doc-mode.

Auto-complete previews while typing w/ plug-able back-ends?
An advanced alternative to built-in tooltip and echo frontends is company-box. It displays candidates and docs for current candidate in popups.
-
auto-complete vs company-mode in 2021
For elisp it works out of the box and displays the first line of the helpbuffer in the echo area. If you add company-box or company-quickhelp you'll get the description text next to completion candidates.

How can i fix this ragged company drop down auto completion menu? I want it to look nice like in the example on the company-mode website.
You can either fix you font, or use another frontend that supports variable pitched fonts like company-box or company-posframe
