beetle-psx-libretro VS duckstation

In case of Duckstation there are no texture packs I'm aware of. Its texture replacement feature is unfinished and not even implemented. The only texture packs for PS1 that were ever released and that I know are Chrono Cross from Tiriosaurus and Wipeout from Lyonheart for the Beetle PSX emulator. All other projects are WIP and probably stuck because of the limitations of the texture replacement features of Beetle and Duckstation.

After staring at numbers for what feels like forever, I think I finally cracked it. You can find the mathy part (well, most of it) in the most recent post here, but to explain it simply, I think there might have been a slight bug in the tools used to create the final assets.

Hi. I'm having exactly the same visual glitches as this github topic.

I did a websearch with SET_MESSAGE_EXT: unhandled setting UI: psx.input.port1.gun_chairs and found interesting results: https://www.reddit.com/r/emulation/comments/2hxc3z/retroarch_psx_issues/ and https://github.com/libretro/beetle-psx-libretro/issues/26 . So either you have to rename a BIOS (or add one?) or rename the files in the .cue file I think. At this point, I am not sure, but it looks like as if this is related.

Sometimes input from keyboard just stop working, unless i push ctrl and with ctrl in hold it starts working. Then problem fixes itself until appear suddenly. I cant detect reason why this happens, changing settings not help. Found this discussion in search https://github.com/stenzek/duckstation/discussions/2679 with similar problem, but its 404 there

Navigate to the DuckStation Website: Open the web browser on your Steam Deck and visit the official DuckStation website (DuckStation GitHub page) to download the latest version of the emulator.

Drop that ancient emu you're using, go to DuckStation, and never look back ;)
