wow they also have this to handle the fact that Xtensa already has thread safe atomic read/write instructions. This is super promising. These atomic instructions are part of what allow Espressifs port of freeRTOS to be multi-core safe.

ESP32-Wi-Fi-Lamp in Rust Pt 2: Connecting to Wifi!
Looks cool! I've recently started tinkering with the ESP32-C3 as well. I wanted to try rust but the libraries for BLE are still not mature it seems, so I couldn't figure out how to do it. Ultimately I went to using C w/ esp-idf. Here is some of the C code if anyone is interested.
