Command to instantly refresh SLStatus once?
I use this fork of dwmblocks, which supports updating of individual blocks through signals. It's not a "batteries included" deal like SLStatus though. You have to code the blocks yourself.

dwmblocks doesn't show up anywhere
I use this version of dwmblocks https://github.com/ashish-yadav11/dwmblocks.

Joined a few days ago, so far loving it!
About Steam, I do flatpak because normally Steam gets access to my entire file system, I can isolate it with flatpak so just a pet-peeve reason really, I did it even before using Gentoo. And about dwm, thanks so much for liking it! It's still WIP so the dot files aren't properly set up yet, but here it is. My compositor is picom-jonaburg-fix and my statusbar is a slightly modified version of ashish-yadav's dwmblocks build.

Help with update signals.
Do me a favor and don't follow Luke's instructions. His programs are a pretty mess and dotfiles unnecessary big. If you want a sane fork of dwmblocks you can scroll through the suckless apps. My favorite is https://github.com/ashish-yadav11/dwmblocks . Upfront I need to warn you to read the instructions carefully because applying patches to dwm sometimes need to be applied in the right order.

How to have 'gaps' on dwmbar
The "applets" could be added with the systray patch if you want something graphical or with external utilities like trayer or stalonetray. It can also be done using dsblocks/dwmblocks for the status which support clickability but may need more tinkering if you want to show menus.

My attempt at a nice Nord look for dwm
modified dwmblocks from ashish-yadab11

What desktop environment or rather window manager to get the most professional/geeky feel?
And unless you are on a desktop with a wired, always on connection, you might need a status bar, so you can see your battery percentage and Wi-fi connectivity. This one is good - https://github.com/ashish-yadav11/dwmblocks - however if you want to go really barebones, yet powerful, dwmstatus is the way to go.
-
How do you get Nerd Font or Font Awesome icons to display properly in the dwm statusbar?
It is dwmblocks, but there are several personal patches, i'm doing some refactoring for my dwm build, once it's done, i will push it to my github

Do You Use Dwmblocks/Built-in Dwm Status?
You might want to give https://github.com/ashish-yadav11/dwmblocks a try.

Patches, fakfullscreen etc.
Check the upstream of dwmblocks. It includes the needed patches.

patch to center tiled windows on the stack
It would be possible to have gaps by default without wasting space, they would just be smaller. Current gaps patches waste even more space than 'resizehints = 0'. This patch appears to be a big challenge, but it would be very interesting to see it done. Something like the centered_size_hints patch but with better space/cpu usage would already be great.

Anysize leaving gaps in st
I made this patch after that post for reference: https://github.com/bakkeby/patches/wiki/anysize-simple
-
How can you set the st geometry offset relative to the screen size as a dwm shortcut
I'd recommend that you have a look at the floatrules patch and alternatively if you need percentages then I have another patch called floatpos.
- Make the focusstack feature avoid a certain program.
-
tag.restore and tag.noempty
As for 1. you may want to consider toggletag which is a one-line patch which makes it so that when you do MOD+1 to move to tag 1 and if you do MOD+1 again then it moves you back to the previous tag (5 in the example case).

Patch to improve the zoom function
I believe the zoomswap, stacker and restrictfocus patches could help solving this problem. The functions needed to be changed probably are zoom and maybe pop. I tried to figure it out, but couldn't since I don't know C right now. But hopefully the information on this post can help, so one can fix it if he can and wants to.
- patch to separate focus between master and stack areas

How do you set the width of dmenu to the screen width after application of the xyw patch?
You may also want to consider applying the barpadding patch for dwm into dmenu, this is easier to do than it sounds. I created an example patch a while back: https://github.com/bakkeby/patches/wiki/barpadding
-
alpha patch makes my dwm doesn't starting
It's difficult to make alpha and systray patches sing together. Use bakkeby patch that does them both: https://github.com/bakkeby/patches/blob/master/dwm/dwm-alpha-systray-6.3_full.diff
-
How do I change multi-monitor tag behaviour
I had an example patch for that: dwm-desktop-6.3.diff
What are some alternatives?
stalonetray - STAnd aLONE TRAY (notification area) implementation for X11
dwm-flexipatch - A dwm build with preprocessor directives to decide which patches to include during build time
trayer-srg - trayer fork with multi monitor support, cleaned up codebase and other fancy stuff
chadwm - Making dwm as beautiful as possible!
dwm - My personal fork of dwm with several tweaks, added features and improvements (most of them original).
dwm-single-tagset-6.2 - single-tagset patch for dwm 6.2
Goblocks - Status bar for dwm
dwm-directionalfocus - Adding directional focus to dwm
pass-import - A pass extension for importing data from most existing password managers
rofi - A huge collection of Rofi based custom Applets, Launchers & Powermenus.
