I'm sure you spent your last evening downloading thousands of replay files and analyzing them to compute stats about how frequently treadmill crane was researched in RM. I mean, you wouldn't have make a thread with the bold claim that Spanish lost their identity just because a couple of civs got a tech that barely no one research anyway.

We used https://github.com/happyleavesaoc/aoc-mgz to extract info from the recs, but although it is pretty easy it took a few weeks to get the details down. We aim to have the statistics generating scripts and more user friendly UI available on some public webpage in the future.

So that has to be calculated - you can do a query against the matches table, joined on match_players a,b where (a.civ_id = civ1 and b.civ_id = civ2) or (a.civ_id = civ2 and b.civ_id = civ1). To get the set of all matchups between 2 civs. Civ ids can be found in the aoe2_tech tree (https://github.com/SiegeEngineers/aoe2techtree/blob/6b5b3b5fc5eeb30659f2a4290f44df8c135b79fd/data/data.json), however subtract "10270" from the value to match the civ ids received from the aoe2.net api.
