Almost fried my brand new GPU - Just a heads up
I had the same problem on Fedora with RX 5500 XT. To my surprise, GPU fans just didn't turn on, no matter what. I use this script: https://github.com/grmat/amdgpu-fancontrol and it works perfectly, but it just boggles my mind, that there isn't any native solution.

Undervolting a 6600XT to consume only 95 watts and heat up to 46 (53 during a long session of gaming) degrees while only losing only 5 FPS in the Heaven Benchmark! The FPS difference isn't noticeable, temps went down by 20-25 degrees and power draw down by about 40-50 watts. Also custom fan curve.
Well, reason I'm asking about all these things is that I am working on a little project for dumping / decoding / modifying Power Play tables. I aim to understand the exact number of modifications you had done for these low power modes, relative to stock BIOS settings, therefore I'd like to check what VBIOS stock settings are. For that to be 100% reliable, a VBIOS dump would be necessary, both silent and regular VBIOS.

We need a last incredible piece of software before rebooting. It's called UPP (Uplift Power Play) It's a tool for parsing, dumping and modifying data in the Radeon PowerPlay tables, just like the infamous MorePowerTool from IgorsLab.

How to overclock memory on 6800xt
I'm not sure how I can overwrite these values to accept a greater value. I believe it's possible by using this tool https://github.com/sibradzic/upp but as a linux noob, I have no idea how to use it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Best method so far to maximize RX 6800's on HiveOS (now with better profitability than Windows)
Basically, the script makes use of the UPP utility to lock the F-state of the GPU. UPP is similar to MorePowerTool on Windows. The command line syntax is:

ASRock Vega 64 Phantom Gaming bios needed
Sorry, been reading a bit and it seems that MPT does not support vega (which is a shame really). However, Ive found a link to this editor (https://github.com/sibradzic/upp) that will let you extract the powerplaytable from a ROM and inject it again. Im not very confident in using that tool but I may give it a try in the coming days if I find time to investigate it and do it. Check it out, you may actually find how to do it
