  • nvtop

GPU & Accelerator process monitoring for AMD, Apple, Huawei, Intel, NVIDIA and Qualcomm

  • Next time you're curious about the temps, I recommend using something like nvtop which will show the temperature of the graphics card (along with other stats). I have a gtx 970 which also keeps its fans off until a certain temperature, and mine's currently at 50 C. For the graphics card, that's perfectly fine and nothing to be worried about. However, if I decided to check how hot it is by touching it with my finger, I'd think it's pretty damn hot.

  • I had the same problem on Fedora with RX 5500 XT. To my surprise, GPU fans just didn't turn on, no matter what. I use this script: https://github.com/grmat/amdgpu-fancontrol and it works perfectly, but it just boggles my mind, that there isn't any native solution.
