why deal with a node if you don't need it? just use blixt or breez or sbw.app and get/buy a private incoming channel and be done with it.

I think you better choose a wallet where you can have more control on the channels you use to pay/receive sats. My recommendation would be for SBW or Blixt, a little more advanced, but great product.

In Ethereum's website, it recommends other decentralized social networks too like Status.im, Mirror.xyz, and even talks about Twitter. What's the progress happening in the field, and which one is going to become popular in your opinion? Has any of them become popular among users who are already using it?
