why deal with a node if you don't need it? just use blixt or breez or sbw.app and get/buy a private incoming channel and be done with it.

I think you better choose a wallet where you can have more control on the channels you use to pay/receive sats. My recommendation would be for SBW or Blixt, a little more advanced, but great product.

That comment is incorrect too from a few angles. Both Breez and Phoenix's code is entirely verifiable on their GitHubs (Pheonix Breez). If you're truly concerned about them changing the code in an update you can verify and build the app yourself locally and install it on your phone.
