How to disable windows defender?
You can disable it, without having another antivirus. Here: https://github.com/adolfintel/Windows10-Privacy#removing-windows-defender

Windows has gotten worse tbh
I did the same thing and now it uses 2gb ram vs 4 at idle and cpu floats between 0-3% and doesn’t randomly spike when windows defender decides it’s scanning time. I followed the instructions Here but left out the stuff I want to keep.

Two sides of people not being able to upgrade to Windows 11
If you are already on 11 and are frustrated with how it works, Bloatbox, Win Utility and Shutup10++will get rid of most bloatware, make essential tweaks to make it usable for productivity and turn off Microsoft's overeach. Just make sure to watch a few tutorials first as you can quite easily fuck up your install if you don't know what you are doing.

The Windows 10 weather, stock and news widget just causally pulled 24GB of my system RAM...
Bloatbox deletes bloat on windows 10. Just be sure to take a look at the apps it'll delete before doing it, you may be using stuff like OneNote.

Can we please get rid of the articles from the "WIDGETS" tab? Or get an option to disable them.

After running like 6 different debloat scripts...700MB of RAM on idle!
For those asking for the scripts, here they are: Remove preinstalled applications Remove preinstalled applications (this one has GUI) Set services to manual (Can also remove applications) Uninstall MS Store Disable Windows Defender As my people in the comments have pointed out, don't run all of them unless you want to break your system later on.

Is it worth removing the built in Windows 10 crap ( weather, xbox, onedrive, maps etc...) or just disable telemetry and live with these useless apps for me?
