Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

AMD Ryzen Master Utility for Overclocking Control
Makes sens though. Overclocking APUs in laptops is much more trickier and riskier than desktop CPUs, especially that the optimal settings have already been tuned by the OEM in firmware based on known thermal and VRM power design limitations.
If you really do want to tinker with your laptop APU try this:

Is there a Linux compatible alternative to Universal x86 Tuning-Utility ?
I'm talking about this tool It works wonders in Windows for my gaming laptop.

Just got the Blade 14 Mercury with RTX 4070. Can the AMD 7940HS and RTX 4070 be undervolted?
Theoretically, you should be able to. Try disabling "Core Isolation" in Windows Defender settings and then messing around with this tool: https://github.com/JamesCJ60/Universal-x86-Tuning-Utility

[Steam] (Game) Jitsumi's Game Booster
If you want a game booster, you should just probably use something like UXTU. I've been using it and it usually works really well with games*. Just use the presets.

How to configure new laptop without Dell malware?
A little odd its not supported, https://github.com/JamesCJ60/Universal-x86-Tuning-Utility?

Undervolt in Bios? 7745hx
Oh and here's the link for AATU's GitHub. You can see it's called UXTU now. https://github.com/JamesCJ60/Universal-x86-Tuning-Utility/releases

Releases · JamesCJ60/Universal-x86-Tuning-Utility (I like this one) There's a place to apply setting's adaptively and it works well.

7840HS benchmarked at various TDP
Out of curiousity how the 7840HS performs at different TDP, I did some benchmarks using Geekbench 6.2.0. To change the TDP, I've used the software RyzenAdj like so:

AMD Ryzen 7 7840U Performance Benchmarks on Linux
A few years ago I did a bunch of poking w/ a 4800H, you can see the actual mechanics of using RyzenAdj. There are also Geekbench 5 benchmarks linked from the doc at different power limits which you can compare to 4800U devices on Geekbench's site: https://github.com/lhl/linuxlaptops/wiki/2020-MECHREVO-Code-...
Note, each laptop manufacturer may choose their different power limits (and like Intel, AMD's curves are largely driven by temperature, so dependent on cooling solution and other settings).
This is a good summary of some of how Ryzen Mobile's power limiting works (actually, read that whole wiki if you're interested in the topic): https://github.com/FlyGoat/RyzenAdj/wiki/Renoir-Tuning-Guide
I'd also look up "AMD PMF" (their equivalent of DPTF) which only recently made it's way to the Linux kernel (but of course, that will include loads of details anyone can look through): https://www.phoronix.com/news/AMD-PMF-CnQF-Linux-6.1

30-32C temps and 7-9+ hr battery life after G-Helper and Power Tweaks. I love this laptop. 2022 6900HS/6700S
That app just uses (under the hood) this one https://github.com/FlyGoat/RyzenAdj - g-helper not using that , as it requires admin rights to run :)
