[QUESTION] Haven't played in 13 years, are free guitar pro tabs not a thing anymore?
Hey I wrote this because of frustrations with UG: https://github.com/jabbey1/UGDownloader. I don't know if it would solve your problems specifically but it allows you to download all the user go tabs for an artist without going to the site yourself (after you have an account)

I wrote a little program to help with downloading guitar pro files from Ultimate Guitar, based on my frustrations with their "official" and "pro" versions. I'm sharing it here.
Anyways, here's the github link. To download the .exe, click the releases section on the right side, below the about section. Or, grab the python files and run them if you're so inclined. Please let me know what you think!

SheetAble - Self-hosted music sheet organizer v1.0
Another vote for tab support. I haven't played piano in years now but it would be neat to archive and collate a bunch of tablature for all the string instruments I do still play. Just being able to render plaintext tabs would be easy to implement + that's definitely the most common format by far. For Guitar Pro format there's a JS library already, although that may be getting a bit scope creep-y.
What are some alternatives?
chordbook - Chord sheets and tab for guitar and ukulele.
fretonator - The ultimate interactive free guitar theory tool.
