Sims 2 Installation
Yeah that’s the same as the origin/g4tw version. The standalone installer should be able to install it with no issues - just set the directory to match The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection folder where you extracted the game files. It also comes with the fixes you need for the game such as GRM and Sims2RPC

Game not found/launching even though it’s properly installed
- Try running the Standalone Installer from my GitHub, you can uncheck all of the additional fixes if you already have them to just purely overwrite the registry entries.

Honestly, just go for Sims 2 Starter Pack. Sets everything up for running fine without the EA App.

Installed DKs ultimate collection and installed it on my Steam Deck. It played fine, made a house hold, moved in played until my battery was low. I saved and quit. Today, I get this message. I tried Uninstall the game (rip Bandit & Chilli heeler) and reinstall... still get this message. Why plz?
I would suggest using osab's guide to install the game on the Deck, as this is the proper Ultimate Collection (I assume it was a typo in your title and you're talking about MrDJ's version, which is a disc repack and missing IKEA). Osab has a note about the not installed error there too, I think, which may clarify the issue for you.

It hasn't been done yet because it would either require each player to have the same mods...or they'd have to disallow mods (and the Sims games are pretty empty without mods). There is the Sims 4 multiplayer mod...and there's also https://freeso.org/
