Turning on fan to max with thinkfan seems to set computer to a "battery saver" type mode? How to max out processor while maxing out fan?
I had tried using tlp through tlpui, though I wasn't ever sure I was able to get it to work right, so I ignored it. I've gone back and disabled and saved it in that state for now.

Joining the Darkside
Sidenote. TLP has no GUI. TLPUI however is a GUI for editing TLP config files, thus achieving the desired goal. It's available on AUR at least, probably other places as well.

TLP disables USB ports
I'd install the TLPUI app and do it from there. It has so many options.

Removing Steam also removes PipeWire
Using controllers with Steam's flatpak is impossible without steam-devices. Installing steam-devices with apt also installs Steam's .deb. Uninstalling Steam's .deb completely removes PipeWire. I have found this issue on GitHub from six months ago, but it hasn't been fixed yet. I'm surprised there are still issues with Steam on Pop!_OS after what happened last time.
