OpenMW – a FOSS engine re-implementation for Morrowind
Me and my friends have been playing Morrowind once again, this engine makes it very playable on modern hardware. We have also tried out the fork of this engine that adds _multiplayer_ https://tes3mp.com/

Balmora in winter (Nerevarine Prophecies TES3MP server)
https://tes3mp.com/Note: The first download on the github page is the VR version, so unless you have a VR set to play the game with, don't download that one. It works in multiplayer too though.

Ask HN: Which is the oldest software alive still in 0.x, used by many?
Not played much, but kind of interesting - I nominate NetPanzer! Open sourced in 1999 or so, is still technically in beta at 0.9.x
I just got the last maintainer to put the code up on GH [0] and have been working on the next release, hopefully later this year. I also put some servers up and setup bots.
Sadly a couple months ago the guy emailed me saying he was very sick (he's been working on the game for like 15 years and he only really writes C, I have no idea how old this guy is). He hasn't emailed me back, so I don't know if he's still alive. :( I may have to fork the game (I've also been making progress on a WASM version to play in the browser).

OpenMW: Open-source TES3: Morrowind reimplementation
Having kids is way more rewarding than working on any software project. You'll enjoy raising the kids unless you have some kind of personality disorder.
Also, I have a newborn and I work in my projects just fine. [0] Manage your time :)
