I've installed klipper and that's my print. I think i need help.
I suggest you temporarily (at least) use some print settings that are already excellent, start of with these). You need to install the official release of Superslicer. Find instructions on how to import the config bundle here.

Enable Experimental Features
There is a known issue where the config.ini contains the wrong version and Arachne is not visible. Check Issue 3094

Is it possible to hide or delete system presets?
I must have mis-remembered something, I thought there were a portable and installer version, however on the github download site the latest release, https://github.com/supermerill/SuperSlicer/releases/tag/2.4.58.5, only have one file for Windows which doesn't have an installer, this is the version i already use.

accidentally wiped my settings clean in Cura. I am wondering what your recommended settings are for large pieces with the .8 nozzle, for the Kobra Max with Volcano5. Is there a better slicer??
I'm not sure about specific settings, but I do have a slicer recommendation. SuperSlicer. It's a modified branch of PrusaSlicer that's basically just a better version of it

[Rant] On the stability of a Linux desktop
Arch Linux is pretty solid on my end, gnome is a little buggy, nothing like fedora but if you're like my mother and don't want to set anything up I get it. There is Rocky linux if you want a RHEL experience and don't need the latest packages. I don't like Ubuntu but you could go that route.
