Increasing VRAM on Vega 8 iGPU
Greetings. I have an HP Omen 15 laptop with Ryzen 7 5800H CPU which has Vega 8 iGPU. It has 512MB dedicated VRAM. I understand that it's dynamic and increases itself when needed. But this doesn't work everywhere so I need to be able to set it manually. My BIOS version doesn't have that option. Neither HP nor AMD providing something like this (at least not for my laptop). So I saw this while searching. There are videos on youtube about how it works. I wanted to know:
- Well you can upgrade the ram to 32gb if you want but more work is needed

AC/DC Loadline Settings for Laptop
Yesterday I discovered a BIOS tweaking tool Smokeless UMAF and played around a bit to see what it could achieve. After undervolting Pcore/Ecore/Cache of my 13900HX to -120mV/100mV/100mV I encountered AC/DC Loadline options under Core/IA VR Settings.

RX 6800m can draw up to 170 watts peak with AMD SmartShift
for some reason smartshift works really well on the g15ae you could try giving amd formbrowser a go https://github.com/DavidS95/Smokeless_UMAF and see if that works it most likely will break most controls on the cpu and gpu youll have from the manufacturer side and youll have to find alternatives to manage it but im just a person providing the information what you do with it is none of my business nor my responsibility

[GUIDE] Unlock the EC TDP limit of your low power U series Intel CPU
If you are like me and don't have the option, you need to modify the option through EFI shell. Download UEFI Tool, IFR extractor, RU.efi, and UEFI Shell, and your bios.bin/biosfd . On HP laptops, you can obtain it through the third option "Copy" . You can find the platform ID in the bios.

DELL G7 7700 THERMAL THROTTLE FIX, LISTED STEPS. I7-10750H RTX2070 MOBILE // NOV 9TH,2021
The file we just extracted contains all of the toggle-able options your computer BIOS has, many of which Dell hides by default. We will need one more tool to get a human-readable version of these options, which is LongSoft’s version of IFR Extractor. (Older versions of IFR Extractor do not provide the location of the EFI variables you need to edit, but this one does.) Windows warned me the file might be unsafe, but I had no problems with it; for those who want to do due diligence, the repo/source code is here.)
