NAM vst works with Yabridge. You will get native GUI that way. Protesus is a good alternative with native Linux version and it is integrated into BYOD through GuitarML processor. BYOD is the best sounding guitar software (IMHO), Linux or not.

I think Proteus was first and it has some advantages over NAM (capturing the whole range of gain knob, integration with BYOD, different training modes, Linux version). Good choice of captures available too.

BYOD (amazing sounding IMHO) installation comes with VST plugin but I'm not sure if there is a way to control it through midi.

BYOD (https://github.com/Chowdhury-DSP/BYOD) Using it as an IR and GuitarML Proteus (LSTM) models loader. Uses less (~half) CPU compared to GuitarML Proteus while also solving a sample rate issue that Proteus has.
