VoodooShield is legit and since that's made by the same people I would trust it. I wouldn't however trust Defender if I was looking for serious protection for a number one reasons such as how easily it can be circumvented by malware either by disabling it, adding an exclusion or using pre-existing exclusions (the last one doesn't even need admin rights).

most probably malware. There's this one that can inject itself into explorer.exe and mine crypto. It also probably bypassed the win 11 av since windows defender is pretty bad.

They can have crypto miners running on your machine without NFTs, something like this wouldn't be detected by the end user most of the times. They can install these things easily because the users already gave them administrator privileges to run their precious anti-cheats.

Kaspersky Free if you trust independent reviews and actual experts on the field. This sub isn't the right place to ask about this really since everyone just spams Defender and downvotes everything else. Defender is fine for someone who knows what they're doing, but far from the best and can be easily bypassed or even disabled by malware. It's also quite resource intensive compared to many other AV products.

With what, Defender? Defender is quite useless against malware that is already on your machine since it can easily whitelist itself or outright disable Defender. See this. You should definitely do a scan with Malwarebytes before you try anything else.
