I've just discovered Valentina and its fork Seamly2D, which are parametric pattern editors. I've to say that they seem to be interesting pieces of software.

- How important is capturing exact curvature when making patterns? Will my seam allowance/sewing accuracy make this difference a wash?

and Valentina looks like it's free software (i'm not sure how to use GitLab to download the program) but there is also a company of the same name that is offereing paid versions?
