How do I know if I'm actually mining Monero correctly and everything is alright?

Just don't misinform new Monero users: p2pool and gupax are not a mining pool (that is by definition a web service maintained by another person) but rather a mining software that comes with a burden - its maintain costs and self-responsibility.

BasicSwap, an upcoming fully private cross-chain DEX with no central point of failure
Earlier today was just announced "BasicSwap"; an open-source DEX that's fully private, cross-chain, and has full order book support. The DEX also supports true Monero atomic swaps based on the original work of h4sh3d, with no wrapped assets.

Nano + Smart Contract Calls
That post was from August 16th. September 2nd had this post confirming their implementation https://meroscrypto.medium.com/atomic-swaps-enabling-nano-via-asmr-98ecde842110. Here is a successful CI run (most recent on the master branch) setting up a BTC node and a Nano node in order to execute a swap https://github.com/MerosCrypto/asmr/runs/4492558755?check_suite_focus=true. Here is the whitepaper documenting how it's possible as well https://github.com/h4sh3d/xmr-btc-atomic-swap/blob/master/whitepaper/xmr-btc.pdf. There is also an extensive test suite, along with documentation with the code itself you are welcome to read.
