Nintendo Switch Emulator: Progress Report December 2023
Their C# JIT [1] generates x86_64 or ARM native code. This is why it's fast.
1: https://github.com/Ryujinx/Ryujinx/tree/master/src/ARMeilleu...
This is (I believe) the PR that fixed this specific issue: https://github.com/Ryujinx/Ryujinx/pull/5933
In short, no - from my understanding, it does actually fix the underlying issue, rather than special-casing the game. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few edge cases like that which are special-cased, particularly for older games (when "abuse" of CPU/GPU quirks was more common to eke out extra performance).

RyujinX – Open Source Nintendo Switch Emulator
This isn't true anymore. It was their first approach, but since then they have switched to their own JIT recompiler. You can read their rationale here: https://github.com/Ryujinx/Ryujinx/pull/693
For the MacOS port, they explain in the blog post you linked that they use an hypervisor, meaning the original game binary runs untranslated. (with the option to use an ARM-to-ARM JIT)

[GUIDE] - Build your own nightly Version of Ryujinx
Btw. If you wann see the RoadMap of this Project, click here.
Thanks for the guide. I am new to Ryujinx, but is there a version that runs Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak? I searched on reddit and github but I got lost on the part where gdkchan tried to solve the issue here. Maybe it doesn't work on Mac?
- Any way to fix this in totk, it's like this all over the depths making this part basically unplayable (MacBook Air m2, system version 16.0.0 and totk ver. 1.1.1

Cool games that run on macOS
There is no need to do that anymore! You can go on github and download the latest build directly. Download it from here if you want better stability, if you want better FPS download it from here in the “github-actions” comment under “Experimental GUI (Avalonia)”

Water Flickering Fix 1.0, fixes the flickering/fighting water on Ryu
That wasn't a full fix for the depth bias issues. A lot of investigation has been going on in PR 5012 (https://github.com/Ryujinx/Ryujinx/pull/5012). The game code that was breaking was found but the root cause of what the emulator is doing wrong hasn't been identified yet. The person who is doing the main investigation into the issue is doing this in his spare time and hasn't had an update in a while.
They merged a PR with a fix but only for vulkan https://github.com/Ryujinx/Ryujinx/pull/5027 , does this works with opengl? also what is the low vram build?

Rokid Max Review and Many Tips
Another wonderful option is to play Nintendo 3DS games with the Citra emulator. They look incredible. I would go so far as to say that if you're a fan of the console then this is the best way to experience its games, even better than on the original hardware. Again use 3840x1200 @ 60 Hz and full SBS. In Emulation -> Configure... -> Graphics -> Stereoscopy set it to "Side by Side". Also increase the renderer internal resolution to as high as your PC can handle (I used "5x Native"). We'll also have to set the display layout for our resolution and aspect ratio. Unfortunately, this has to be done manually. Browse to %APPDATA%\Citra\config and edit qt-config.ini with this in the [display] section:

Help, so i saw on a video that to make amiibo work on citra you have to put .bin amiibo files in the amiibo folder in citra-emu folder but it isn't there
After some more research, I discovered that the Citra devs discovered and fixed this issue by allowing the Back button to open the in-emulation menu. This fix was added on Jan 22 2023. When I checked the version of Citra available on the Google Play Store on my phone, it was a very old version from May 2021, which is strange because viewing the same Play Store page on my computer shows it was updated in April 2023... maybe your Play Store version is also outdated? If so, the only solution I can think of would be to install the apk from the Citra Nightly github repo.

PSA: CITRA MMJ IS NOT OPEN SOURCE AND HAS BEEN COLLECTING USER DATA
There have been several recent changes merged for custom textures. Here is one of the pull requests for example: https://github.com/citra-emu/citra/pull/6452. The slow loading you're talking about was only an issue for me if preload custom textures was enabled.

Vulkan for Citra Official is here!
https://github.com/citra-emu/citra/actions/runs/4923300572 the link for those who might want to give it a try.
There has been a new version posted today and doesn't seem to have the crashing issues of the older version https://github.com/citra-emu/citra/actions/runs/4933706946

3DS emulation on Mac M2?
I just followed the build-it-yourself instructions here https://github.com/citra-emu/citra/wiki/Building-for-macOS and it was easy-peasy.. tried a game and it works great
Just used the instructions here https://github.com/citra-emu/citra/wiki/Building-for-macOS to build it myself. I can open it but I also get the error as soon as I try to run anything.. that my system doesn't support OpenGL. Looked in the settings but there isn't any way yet to switch to Vulkan. I think Vulkan support is coming very soon but hasn't landed yet.
