Best upgrade path from 0.17.5 to 2.1? (Node red w/mqtt devices)
That depends on what Raspberry Pi device you are running it on. I believe on armv6 devices like the Pi Zero and Pi Zero W only up to node 12 is officially supported. However there are unofficial builds for higher versions. I have a shell script that can install node 16 for those devices here: https://github.com/HaroldPetersInskipp/Raspberry-Pi-Scripts

New Setup
My current setup is similar to yours, but everything runs in its own container on Docker. For the torrent client, I use this image which makes sure torrents are only downloading when there’s a good connection with the VPN. If you got any questions, I’d be glad to help you.
