For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.
RSRetroArch
- Dithering shaders
- So i know modding can be controversial and showboating. This though is some neat mods for a retro feel of a 90's gamer. With a wide view CRT(optional) and some old school rendering. (ENB + Retro Skyrim mod+ Reshade+ Yterm shader.)

TMNT Shredders Revenge on Sony BVM D24 @ 480x270p
On the PC version you can add them with Reshade: https://github.com/Matsilagi/RSRetroArch
- CRT heaven in TMNT Shredder’s Revenge
- System-wide CRT shader

RetroArch vs No Frontend
For CRT shaders on Linux, I'd imagine that Gamescope + vkBasalt (with these shaders) could work. I just discovered it today, but the results have been hit and miss (I've used it for MAME because I don't like its built-in shaders. Regular games like Minetest and Garry's Mod also work, but Minecraft and Freedom Planet don't)

Anyone playing on CRT
I don't have a CRT, but I play all modern pixel-art games using CRT shaders for ReShade, especially CRT Royale (and a few others). Games like Blasphemous, Astelon, Infernax, Axiom Verge, and Chasm look absolutely fantastic with the default CRT Royale settings expect for interlacing which should be turned off for most LCDs.

KOF '98 UM Final Edition community rollback netcode beta test: Oct19-29
To anyone wanting to play this game, do yourself a favor and install some CRT shaders for reshade for this game, the simple scanlines won't do it for this game and it's a quite a drastic change (be sure to put this on fullscreen on a monitor, not through a phone screen)

Left side is what it looked like on a CRT TV, no wonder graphics as a kid looked like FIREE
Here's some shaders for example: https://github.com/Matsilagi/RSRetroArch/

EmulationStation Desktop Edition (ES-DE) v2.1.0 is now available for download! This release brings an optional dark color scheme for the menu system, scraping and viewing of PDF game manuals, aspect ratio settings for the miximage generator, improved system sorting support, and more!
ES Desktop is great but I prefer Skyscraper for media content https://github.com/muldjord/skyscraper/tree/master

Is it fine to leave or even “ghost” a project?
Yes, but I would suggest to make it clear on the front page / README that the project is no longer being maintained and you would encourage someone to fork it if they want to continue development. For example, like this project did:
- Emumovies and Retropie Themes
-
GarlicOS Install Questions
You can try skyskraper, at least there is "Skyscraper works perfectly on macOS" in the description
- Skyscraper Import Module
- Overlapping/Doubling of scraped images
-
Skyscraper videos no longer downloading
This might help: Resource Cache
-
moderated Console/Netflix like experience
you might also try skyscraper, its a CLI tool for scraping folders to generate metadata for pegasus and other frontends: https://github.com/muldjord/skyscraper
-
Retrama-Turbo Help
It's highly configurable through the command-line interface: https://github.com/muldjord/skyscraper/blob/master/docs/CLIHELP.md
-
Comic theme with videos
Doing this by hand would be quite tedious, of course. Lars Muldjord's Skyscraper (https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Scraper/#lars-muldjords-skyscraper) has an "import" module to cache local resources (https://github.com/muldjord/skyscraper/blob/master/docs/IMPORT.md)
