Microsoft Says Apple's 30% Fee Makes Xbox Cloud Gaming iOS App 'Impossible'
The surprising thing is that PC is an open platform where people could compete with Steam on even terms if they actually tried. Gamers don't like installing 5 different game launchers and Steam is the oldest one with all their games and is mostly a neutral party.
I recently installed Playnite [1], an open source game library manager and its been incredible. It pulls in games from all launchers/sources and gives you a unified library. I think all it would take to bring down Steam prices is for studios to adopt one such project but they are too blindsided by the ambition to have their own platform.

I wrote an app for myself to filter my library by HLTB
I've done something similar before with Playnite (an open-source PC game library manager), which has an HLTB plugin.

Tags no longer register and i've finally had it with galaxy 2.0. Any recommended alternatives?
Playnite: The one with the most features and libraries available via addons and has a lot of options for customization. In my opinion the best one available for this purpose.

What tools do I install?
As for my LGO, the only other app I've installed outside of the standard launcher was Playnite to consolidate all games into one place as Legion Space doesn't detect everything I have installed and I don't want to manage manually adding games to their launcher.

Login in to various stores when launching games
use playnite instead of the individual launchers.

Steam Deck OLED
Here is where I come in and recommend everyone check out Playnite: https://playnite.link/
When I care about supporting a developer or publisher and they offer their product on their own storefront DRM-free, I will often go there to buy. Or I buy from GoG which takes a smaller cut. Playnite lets me launch my Steam and non-Steam games in a seamless fashion. Steam still does a great job as a game installer/patch manager, and helps me discover new games. But I'm not locked into paying them a 30% fee, which is pretty brutal for some smaller publishers.

What’s the worst game launcher?
If i had to pick out the best launcher on the market, I think it goes to GOG Galaxy 2.0. The marketplace is definitively smaller than Steam, but it has a “No BS” policy - No DRMs allowed, super costumer-friendly refund process (up to 30 days, even if you already downloaded and played the game), and some pretty crazy deals in forms of sales and freebie bundles when you buy a game, and, in addition to all of that, it merges all of your libraries into one, with the in-game, achievements, hell, even steam friends can be imported. whether it’s a loose executable, Steam, EA ”Desktop” (ew), EGS and even emulation (though for some you need to either create an executable that points your emulator to the game ROM, or use a community plugin, refer to This for compat info)

What happened to GOG, lately every sync is not dying..
Since I don't want to spam every link to every solution, you can check in this repo if there is any update for the integrations you're using.

GOG Community Integration
The ones listed on galaxy are all verified by FriendsofGalaxy, who is a trusted Integration developer by GOG. He's been inactive for more than a year, so all his integrations are outdated now: you can find an updated list at awesome-gog-galaxy repo

Integrations not working on GOG Galaxy.
That said, many integrations are broken and have been abandoned by the devs. You may find some community fixes (this page links to the source code of each integration) but it might not be worth the effort.

Integrations - 3rd Party Friends List + Presence
Hi all, I think I must be missing something I was so excited for gog galaxy when it claims (and pictured) friends from other platforms however having gone through adding all my game clients (enabling beta) and reviewing the github notes (https://github.com/mixaill/awesome-gog-galaxy) which shows friend presence from Steam etc I still have no contacts what so ever?!?
