Colony Management UI - Plvs Vltra! A Pixel Art 4X TBS currently in the development.
Hey! It can be said that it will be half pixel art. Every thing on the game map will be Pixel Art. All planets and moons are and will be generated by deep fold pixel planets. The space stations and satellites will be also pixel art (I didn't draw anything beautiful to show at the moment). I only posted a picture of one planet this time, but I had posted more in my previous post. And the spaceships will be pixel art, because I want to use the "Pixel" addon by "Alttab" for Blender.

Does anyone have experience implementing Pixel Planets by Deep-Fold?
An important consideration is that Pixel Planets appears to be designed as a standalone GUI focused tool rather than something to integrate directly into a game. The main use-case of the tool seems to be outputting png, gif, or spritesheet exports for user generated planets. I guess the aim is to allow people to generate planets that they can import into their games, rather than use the generation in a game itself. It's not really designed as a "plug-and-play" module or plugin for games. It would require a fair amount of work to integrate it.

Sharing Saturday #419
new: some more color gradients based on existing assets or randomly generated planets off the net (I referenced https://github.com/Deep-Fold/PixelPlanets mostly)

Was really easy to add a gif exporter to my project thanks to an addon, love this community!

Random color palettes now added to the Pixel Planet Generator. Pretty happy with how this turned out!
You can find the spherify function here: https://github.com/Deep-Fold/PixelPlanets/blob/55cb94df13e8fd11ee8350dbd4b2391457d640dc/Planets/Rivers/LandRivers.shader#L62
- A Pixel Planet Generator. This project is already a bit older, but haven't shared it here yet. Also source is available.

Gif exporter quality issues
I need to export images to a gif format for a project. I am using this to export the gifs and it is working fine. I am getting the gifs and they play with the right frame rate and everything. My problem is that the quality of the gifs is terrible. When compared to the same png files converted to a gif using an online tool, the godot implementation has banding, flickering and various other unpleasant artifacts.

I wrote a utility to create gifs from within your Godot game/app!
Uses the godot-gdgifexporter addon.

Not for a game, but I made a short animation using Godot Engine
It looks like you could use `get_viewport().get_texture().get_data()` to get many `Image` objects and then use godot-gdgifexport to save a gif. I haven't tried it myself but it seems like a promising start.
What are some alternatives?
