How do I update Pirate Treasure Chest Wallet to 5.7.4 using linux?
I need to update my Treasure Chest wallet from 5.2.0 to 5.7.4. I'm only guessing that all I have to do is to go to pirate.black and download the new wallet. Once I download it I click extract and then I get a message saying "Replace File "Debian Binary"? "another file with the same name already exists in "/home/my name/downloads" and I have to choose whether to cancel, replace all, skip, or replace. I don't know which to choose. Could someone give me specific instructions on how to udate my wallet so I don't mess something up an lose my ARRR. I am not good at all with linux yet. Thanks.

What in the Ethereum application ecosystem excites me
However Monero has shortcomings, the main one being its auditability.
Some Monero developers have created a new project which tries to solve those issues, and add zero proof knowledge to the mix: https://pirate.black

Treasure Chest Wallet is not syncing
The other option would be doing it manually. You would do so by by using getblockhash and walking backward from the current block comparing the output to the explorer on pirate.black until you find a block that matches. Once you know what your first "bad" block is (the first one that does NOT match the explorer), you can then invalidateblock the first bad one, and reconsiderblock on the last common one.

βArrrβ : yes, like the pirate sound. Tech seems rock solid, the apps suck. When they put out good IOS app could blast off from current $1 price (was above $16 last year) https://pirate.black

Cryptographers Solve Decades-Old Privacy Problem
One of the applications are ZK-Rollups [1] which allow developers to move heavy computation off a blockchain. The blockchain receives the results and only validates proofs that they are valid. This is especially useful on Ethereum because its computational throughput is pretty low.
There's also ZCash [2], which is a cryptocurrency that lets you make untraceable transactions. This is in stark contrast to Bitcoin or Ethereum, where transaction information is available publicly to everyone. They have a series of blog posts [3] on the math that actually makes it work under the hood.

is there a reason why the z.cash site doesnt have a simple countdown page? or the ECC blog? your technical solution sounds great but it fails against the misinformation that people create by making their own webpage with an incorrect countdown :(

Top 5 Privacy Coins & Projects with Massive Potential for 2023-2025
Zcash https://z.cash/ is a privacy-focused cryptocurrency that provides privacy through the use of zero-knowledge proofs. ZEC also provides the option of transparency, making it a versatile choice for users who value privacy and transparency.

What's a Zero-Knowledge Proof?
Definitely not! The first article on the topic is from 1985, when cryptocurrencies were far from being a trending topic. However, this assumption is based on the fact that associating zero-knowledge proofs with blockchain technology can create a privacy-protecting, secure and decentralised environment. ZCash was the pioneer cryptocurrency to bring this technology to blockchains. Today, in addition to it, there are other alternatives such as Horizen (ZEN) and, recently, Tron (TRX) has added this functionality to its platform. They are all small networks β Tron, the biggest of them, only ranks 17th in market cap among all Cryptos β but its potential is great.

Zero Knowledge Proofs vs. Fraud Proofs
Zero knowledge succinct non-interactive argument of knowledge (zk SNARK): An example of a cryptocurrency that uses Zk SNARK is Zcash. Zcash uses zk SNARK to better protect the privacy of it's users.
