OPL-Widescreen-Cheats VS bsnes-hd

I'm guessing we have the same wide-screen pack. It looks like True Crime NY doesn't have cheats, so that one should fail. The others should load up without a problem.

You can use the CHT (cheats) file to hack the game to display in widescreen here: https://github.com/PS2-Widescreen/OPL-Widescreen-Cheats (Only 3d stuff though, 2D stuff like HUD remains stretched). Mainly used for OPL but can be used for discs too with cheat devices like Codebreaker/CheatDevice (Just add the codes from there).

There are codes that you can find in OPL Widescreen Cheats github repo or PCSX2 forum to fix those Vert- games to became anamorphic.

Do you have freemcboot or freehdboot?? In any case just grab the package from here https://github.com/PS2-Widescreen/OPL-Widescreen-Cheats and then put the CHT folder on a usb and copy/paste it inside opl folder through ulaunch, remember to turn on cheats in settings

Imagine how it would look with an upscaler and the 16:9 patches for OPL.

I installed all the cheat files on the cht folder from this repository. Enabled PS2RD Cheat Engine to On and changed PS2RD Cheat Engine Mode to Auto-select cheats. (Global Setting)

This thread at PCSX2's forum is a good place to find them, but you'll have to convert it to CHT first if you want to use them with OPL. There's also a ready-to-use CHT files that you can find here.

Just to clarify I'm using Bsnes HD from here. And the widescreen patch from here.

Checked back and there are no automated ARM builds for the cores. You'll have to build it yourself. Another alternative is BSNES, well, not really, BSNES is based on an old version of Higan that isn't as accurate, what's really recommended is BSNES HD, which does exactly what its name implies

Super Metroid Aka Metroid 3 is Snes only, and honestly at this point in time best played on a Snes Emulator, it takes place right after the ending of Metroid 2 and Samus Returns, Bsnes or BsnesHD are your best bets of playing the game, the latter takes more CPU, but looks a little better

DerKoun has added soft-patch to RetroArch core bsnes-hd beta 10.6 and the Widescreen 0.2.1 version is the one available in asm. The most recent v0.3 can be obtained here: https://github.com/DerKoun/bsnes-hd/tree/master/pack/gamefixes

For other games you can darken the widescreen areas by setting "WideScreen Marker" to "darken". You can also change the amount of darkening or separate the widescreen area with lines.
