Signature spoofing for an unpopular android 7 phone
You can also patch your already-install ROM (up to android 10) by flashing NanoDroid-patcher (https://github.com/Nanolx/NanoDroid), without any computer interaction. It will auto-patch every updated ROM.
- Is NanoDroid worth it?

repost
Take a look at NanoDroid to make your ROM support spoofing if you want MicroG without flashing a ROM that already supports spoofing.

Apple is prying into iPhones to find sexual predators, but privacy activists worry governments could weaponize the feature
It's also not officially supported on LineageOS because it requires signature spoofing, so you'll need to mess around with using nanodroid every week when you update (which is far from bulletproof, it was broken on LOS 17.1 for the longest time) or following random guides on reddit.

How I went from Data-Thrower to deGoogled. Summary for people that want to do the same
MicroG is a bit of a pain to install. The easiest way imo is to use a package like NanoDroid, you can also build a settings/overlay/apps file to fine tune your install with this. I think I read a while back that some other package was regarded better, but I can't remember what that's called.
