I can't think about another video game using Java. I mean, there WILL be more but i haven't saw them.
It is a thing, Google is advocating for it, and many also use SDL - for example, or this.

Why can't we be MultiCraft, but better?
So, my question is: why can't we add all that listed to vanilla Minetest? Especially smooth movement and jumping. Like, code of MultiCraft 2 is open source, and pretty sure it's movement part is too

Why is open source game-dev not a thing?
There's like a hundred versions on Pixel Dungeon on various stores because it's just a completely open source project.

Working on a port of my favorite mobile game, Pixel Dungeon to Roblox. Map generation is 100% procedural.
The original game is completely open-source under the GNU license, it even has several spin-off's with very active communities. I reached out to the original creator for permission just to be 100% sure and he said its cool and was even interested in seeing the final product.
- Can i take someone else's game and make my own version?

I want to make a roguelike similar to Pixel Dungeon in Unity. What's the best tutorial to get started?
The Pixel Dungeon source code is publicly available. It's written in Java, which is relatively easy to understand if you know C#. I'm not suggesting that you try to port to Unity, but it can be a good reference.
