I'd be happy to get some functions that you think would be good targets to make support kwargs. I opened an issue identifying 5 I think are good targets, and trying to clarify our guidance on them: https://github.com/pygame-community/pygame-ce/issues/1990. In the c code you can find which functions are which by some using PyArg_ParseTuple and some using PyArg_ParseTupleAndKeywords.
