MagiskOnWSA VS MagiskOnWSALocal

I installed WSA from here (now it has been taken down) because I got Win 11 for WSA and Microsoft wasn't giving me it even half year after Win11 release so I installed it from github. Now I want to update however Idk how to do it

Yesterday I updated my existing installation to 2206.40000.15.0 by running the Install.ps1 file of the extracted LSPosed/MagiskOnWSA and it works fine here.

Until then, WSA doesn't not support GApps and Google doesn't not support WSA so LSPosed/MagiskOnWSA will do for the time being. As long as the users have choice on the matter (as in what's running on their own computers) it's fine by me.

If you're fine with sideloading the WSA app on your own then you can have GApps & remove Amazon Store from WSA (if you don't trust GitHub for some reason with your WSA system then use the script locally/run the action locally on a Linux system. Hint: r/bashonubuntuonwindows).

Pro Tip: Instead of the standard WSA, install this modified Magisk WSA. It's set up in 10 minutes and gives you Google Play Services :)

You could try seeing what Google Play serves you if you're on WSA. WSA doesn't ship with Google Play by default, obviously, but it's not too difficult to integrate it. I haven't added Google Play to my PC's WSA build yet, though, which is why I tried the Android Studio emulator first.

I'm not on 2305 yet because I didn't bother with the user_code thing in the LSPosed/MagiskOnWSALocal project to get the preview build so I can't speak of that one yet. But I guess I'll see too once I get it.

Use the original project in case you've been reading these on some questionable websites: https://github.com/LSPosed/MagiskOnWSALocal (just, don't download your system images from someone else's cloud storage share or something).

WSA still uses the amazon app store, but you can sideload aurora store to get play store apps (or use MagiskOnWSALocal to use google play services)
