MAME4iOS VS scummvm

I don’t want to be negative but…Mame4ios and that will full screen via airplay mirroring too.

Can you describe those hoops to me?

I have a totally up-to-date iPhone, a linux computer (no macOS), and a usb cable that can connect the linux computer to my iPhone.

I found an ipa file I would like to run (say, this MAME emulator here: https://github.com/yoshisuga/MAME4iOS/releases/tag/2002.4 )

What set of steps do I take in order to install that on my iPhone?

Depending on the macOS version you might be able to use MAME4iOS, which uses catalyst to build a Mac version. https://github.com/yoshisuga/MAME4iOS

It's a long shot, but some old games are available via https://www.scummvm.org/

Ultima 6 - I use ScummVM to play it. It's a great engine that provides a layer of UI compatibility over the game.

The game is "Beneath A Steel Sky", an old school point and click adventure. And though the graphics are pixel style, they are still very well done, and the game and story are still great. The emulator is ScummVM. There's some other games that were released as freeware.

ScummVM, which has been working on Adobe Director support, can detect the game (thank you @mistydemeo <3), but trying to run it will softlock you on the game's title screen, unable to click anything. It's likely this will be fixed in the future, but for now I can't recommend it for this particular game.
