LockView
Foundry VTT module: Locks the view for the purpose of using Foundry on a digital playmat, such as a horizontally mounted TV. Scales the scene so the gridsize is always displayed corresponding to a real-world size, and can block zooming and panning (by MaterialFoundry)

Is there any way of playing a video, full screen with sound to all the players?
Answered: For my usecase, the best option was to make the video the background of a new scene and configure Lock View as /u/CDeenen123 suggested.

[Lockview] Screen not locked for players?
If none of this works, I head to the modules github, unless the author has a discord. Then check there.

Help with local setup.
You could also take a look at Lock View, which can draw a box on the GMs screen that corresponds to what the players can see, and has the option to drag this box around in order to change the view. https://github.com/CDeenen/LockView

Is there a simple way to make maps the same size and not allow the players to zoom in/out?
Seconding LockView. Once installed, you'll have to enable the module for each player under the module settings (I overlooked that initially and thought the mod wasn't working at first).

Foundry usecase and benefits for IRL game?
You could look at the Lock View module I made that allows the GM to control the view of the players, so your players don't need their own mouse and keyboard to zoom and pan. It also has some options in case you want to use pysical minis (such as autoscaling so you have a 1" grid): https://github.com/CDeenen/LockView

Foundry in real life
There's Lock View, which I originally made for real life play. It allows you to control what players can see and has multiple other features that might be useful. You specifically might want to take a look at the viewbox option.

How do I GM on laptop and my players play off a tv screen?
This is how we do it and it works really nice! I'd recommend installing the module https://github.com/wsaunders1014/LookAtThat so you can press P and focus the view around your cursor, at the same zoom level as your GM view. That way you can work everything from within your GM instance. There's another module that has the "pings" functionality, but that only pans and does not zoom. I haven't tried the module yet, so the last time I played with the laptop/external screen set-up I had two mouses to control everything ;-)

Alternative to "Look At That" Module
Just to be clear though, Look At That is still a module. https://github.com/wsaunders1014/LookAtThat
- HELP ME HOST - I set up the world on my desktop but will be running on a laptop using a flatscreen as what the players see - how can I best accomplish this? Is it possible for me to see the whole map while the TV only displays player view?
