Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

[2021 Day 15 (Part 2)] Heuristic function weight vs speed of some algorithms for today
Since today Dijkstra seemed kind of slow multiple people tried A* but this was even slower. So I tried to investigate with some plots. (My code uses Python/Matplotlib).
- [2021 Day #15 (Part 2)] Since A* was slower than Dijkstra I wanted to see the relation between the heuristic function weight and speed. The results are interesting.

[2021 Day #9] Blob coloring
I was too lazy to implement a flood fill from the lowest points so I implemented a simple blob coloring algorithm that scans the map row by row and numbers the basins. Each pixel gets the same number as either the pixel above or left of it. If both are a wall it gets a new number. Source code on GitHub. Visualization in a separate script using Matplotlib in Python.

-🎄- 2021 Day 8 Solutions -🎄-
I created a mapping matrix and found a way to normalize the matrix by swapping rows and columns until it reached a standard form. Thus I could correlate code words to numbers. GitHub with commented code.
- I created a Python library to get my AoC input with just a single line: aoc.get_integers(1) to get the integers for day 1.

I think there's no faster algorithm, but I think you can improve the execution time by reducing the number of comparisons you do. Check out my solution.
