Bl / 3dtouch guide for Ender 3 v2
https://github.com/jyers/marlin/releases/ - Select E3V2-BLTouch-XxX-v4.2.X-v2.0.1.bin with X being either the amount of probing points or the version of your mainboard.
- What is a good reason I should install Jyers Marlin firmware instead of Marlin's Creality 4.2.7 stock firmware? (BTW I do laser engraving and 3D printing on Ender-3)
- How does the filament sensor work wiring-wise on a 4.2.7 board?

Display Firmware error with jyers firmware
Couldn't tell you, but the Jyers firmware hasn't been updated since November 2021 according to the Github page: https://github.com/Jyers/Marlin

mcu 'mcu': Unable to connect while trying to setup Klipper over USB and UART
I glued 2 5p DuPont connectors back to back and put a red wire for vcc, a black wire for ground, a yellow wire for tx, and a green wire for rx (the colors are irrelevant, just for making sure the correct pins are connected to the pi) according to this schem: https://github.com/Jyers/Marlin/discussions/814

Aquila X2
As it is a Creality board then Jyers might be better or even Mriscoc as it is more up to date.
- Jyers 2.0.1 compiling error - E3 V2

Why does z axis only have 2 connections on ender 3 board?
Probably from there: https://github.com/Jyers/Marlin/discussions/814
- Extra thermistor stock board

I need help upgrading my ender 3V2
I switched to Klipper long time ago, but even back then Creality FW was trash and Jyers was fw to use, but it's outdated now. I think most people use the "Profesional" fw now. It should not be hard to find guide on YT.

could one theoretically, print a direct drive extruder upgrade kit
Yes, yes and yes. Take a look at the Sherpa Mini, the Voron Afterburner/ Stealthburner with their Clockwork Extruder (Clockwork 1 for Afterburner/ Stealthburner, Clockwork 2 Beta for Steahltburner), Galileo planetary gear extruder, ...

Extruder Reccomendations
Not really something you can just buy but the Galileo Clockwork from the Voron can be adapted to the Ender and looks pretty amazing to me.

V2.4 300 - Serial request - Snow#1139
I presume this is it. I was more asking what are the advantages etc since it isn't entirely clear in the project specs. https://github.com/JaredC01/Galileo
