GPSaveConverter VS UWPHook

I tried using PC Gamepass Save File Converter but the game thinks the save is corrupted. Any ideas what else I can do other than starting over?

Yes. I have used the database editor by u/ignaciourreta to successfully edit some driver stats. I used the Xbox saves converter found here (https://github.com/Fr33dan/GPSaveConverter) to locate the save files folder and just sort them by date to figure out what the most recent save is. Open the game and keep it on for the duration of the process. Make sure you save at least a minute later after the autosave mark so you don't confuse them.

create a new folder. go into the folder click on the address bar and type cmd hit return, a command window appears. type git clone https://github.com/Fr33dan/GPSaveConverter hit return type cd XGP-save-extractor hit return type python main.py hit return in the XGP-save-extractor folder you now have a zip with your saves. Place these in C:\Users\mrgre\Documents\My Games\Starfield\Saves

This post mentions a github page where the save files from the MS store can be imported to a Steam version. I got a free month of Xbox gamepass, but I would like to use Steam, since that's my primary place for gaming. Can anybody confirm whether this file converter works? Thanks in advance.

hey guys. recently i bought forza horizon 5 on steam, and i saw i can move my save from MS store to steam with GPSaveConverter app. i'm really struggling on how to done this.

I tried using guide from this subreddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/Persona5/comments/10qywiw/is_it_possible_to_transfer_switch_persona_5_save/) and GamePass Save Converter (https://github.com/Fr33dan/GPSaveConverter), but when I load in my game the "exchanged" save slot just disappears from the save screen. I was trying for 2 hours and still wasn't able to transfer saves :(

Use UWP HOOK to allow you to add windows store uwp games to steam as a non steam game.

It's usually difficult because Microsoft UWP DRM on them so you needing tools like UWPHook & other workarounds that have 50% success rate at most. There are rare Gamepass games that don't have UWP so it won't be a problem for them.

You could try using https://github.com/BrianLima/UWPHook this program and testing it. I really doubt it'll work, the VR tag is just a categorisation thing and so it shows up on the HMD page. It doesn't actually trigger any VR capabilities.

Microsoft : This is worst with all from above and you need https://github.com/BrianLima/UWPHook to be able to play against Microsoft DRM.

Another option that could potentially work is to use UWPHook to add your Xbox Game-Pass games to Steam and then simply use Steam Link to stream these games.

There's a nifty little utility called UWP Hook (https://github.com/BrianLima/UWPHook) that scans your Windows Apps and lets you pick them from a drop-down to add to Steam, but there have been a rare couple games that absolutely refuse to show up on the list so i made a bit of a convoluted extra step to gain access privileges to the gamepass install folder and add them from there when needed.
