Art stuff: Gimp: https://www.gimp.org/ Modeling: VRoid Studio: https://vroid.com/en/studio Voice Changing: MorphVox Pro: https://screamingbee.com/morphvox-voice-changer Live2D: https://www.live2d.com/en/ (for if you'd like to animate and rig a 2D image. You can get some good results if you take the time to learn it, but the learning curve is a bit steep. That said, the video tutorials they post when you open the program are very thorough. Keep in mind the free trial is 42 days and it can be expensive to get after that point.) Model editing: Blender: https://www.blender.org/ (you'll want this plugin for it too, if helps with importing vrm files created by VRoid Studio and even has tools for fixing and rigging models: https://github.com/absolute-quantum/cats-blender-plugin) Unity: https://unity.com/download (you'll want the uniVRM plugin for this, found here: https://github.com/vrm-c/UniVRM) Motion Capture: Facerig: https://store.steampowered.com/app/274920/FaceRig/ (I used this back when I was using a live2D avatar) Animaze: https://www.animaze.us/ (I use this now that I'm using a VRoid avatar. I also think it's a superior product to facerig) 3tene (I'm trying it out this week, experimenting with it s bit: https://store.steampowered.com/app/871170/3tene/) Learning: so many YouTube videos. Seriously, I've learned so much. Lots of vtubers will tell you how they do stuff with their avatars, and there's a tonne of blender and unity tutorials out there. Whenever I want to do something I haven't learned how to do yet, I search for tutorial videos.
