Things like FreeTube, or NewPipe are great options to combine that with adblocking/tracking too.

I also still use some Google services like YouTube, albeit with apps like NewPipe, Libretube, Skytube and Freetube (desktop). You can cast them using UPNP.

what browser do you use?
Ever tried FreeTube (+ the redirect extension for FF)? It's pushed YouTube out of the browser for me (well, technically, the Electrumit runs on is a browser, but let's not split hairs).

How's this look? (PiHole Adblock Install)
You can use an Invidious instance anywhere, and there are clients for Android like NewPipe (or one of its many forks), and ReVanced. It was once possible to consistently avoid ads on youtube by blocking certain domains (usually in conjunction with some rules for your in-browser ad-blocker of choice), but that ship has pretty much sailed and you'll only get partial success using those methods.
