Klipper Users check out Fluidd!
It’s built on the Moonraker API. There’s a plug-in for timelapses in this fork that hopefully will be merged into the main branch.

Sonic Pad vs Klipper on Raspberry pi (what’s is missing from sonic pad?)
Use a Pi if you can find one and do the same steps from above or use a pre-built image for the Pi like FluiddPI.

First print since installing Klipper
i used fluid 1.6 which can be found here https://github.com/fluidd-core/FluiddPI/releases
- New Ender 3 S1 Pro my initial thoughts after a couple of days with it.
- Need compiled firmware for my 300c slice eng thermistor+ extender 400XL printer.. can’t compile on my pc.

Real improvements going to Klipper?
I 'm a noobie to RPi so I installed FluiddPi image on an SD card using Rufus -- need to tinker with anything on the RPi directly -- runs fine so far.

I'm not sure what to do next. I have an error saying no moonraker connection
All else fails; start over by downloading the FluiddPi Raspberry Pi image zip file from here. FluiddPi v1.17.0

Itttsss aliiive!!! Again. Description in comment
Mainsail looks nicer though... the only reason I went Fluidd over Mainsail is because FluiddPi was an easy route to trying Klipper. It's a Pi image with Klipper, Moonraker, and Fluidd pre-installed
- Is a Rasberry Pi 4 (B) 2gb good enough to install and run kilpper on my Ender 5 Plus?

Rate my benchy (100mm/s speed, 2000mm/s^2 accel, 0.2mm layer height, Ender 3 v1)
Yes it would be the optimal way to setup Octoprint or finished Raspberry Images like FluiddPi or MainsailOS Octoprint is the „official“ base for Klipper though personally I never had a need for Octoprint Plug-ins and use FluiddPi since a year. Klipper has also its subreddit /r/Klippers

Octoprint using klipper for dummies
You need to get the latest fluiddPi. use this link https://github.com/cadriel/FluiddPI/releases/download/v1.16.2/fluiddpi-rpi-lite-v1.16.2.zip This will download the zip file that contains the Fluidd and Klipper software. Now follow the document and video to create a MicroSD card for the PI. The Pi is where Klipper/ fluidd runs. It does all of the work converting the Gcode and it then controls the printer board. Once you have the SD card created then you need to edit the fluiddpi-wpa-supplicant.txt file to enter your SSID and network password. This should get the Pi on your network. Re-read the instructions and see if this works.
What are some alternatives?
fluidd - Fluidd, the klipper UI.
mainsail - Mainsail is the popular web interface for managing and controlling 3D printers with Klipper.
moonraker-telegram - A Script/Programm to send the printer State before, during and after a print via Telegram Messenger. But its only Working with moonraker
kiauh - Klipper Installation And Update Helper
MainsailOS - This Raspberry Pi distribution for managing Klipper 3D printers with Mainsail provides all you need.
Brainlet
Marlin - Marlin is an optimized firmware for RepRap 3D printers based on the Arduino platform. | Many commercial 3D printers come with Marlin installed. Check with your vendor if you need source code for your specific machine.
SuperSlicer - G-code generator for 3D printers (Prusa, Voron, Creality, etc.)
moonraker - Web API Server for Klipper
