Why doesn't Firefox have .deb and .rpm packages on Linux?
i personally would also recomment you to start using the flatpak version, but if you really dont want to but still want to have an easy way to install the current verison, maybe this: https://github.com/Linux-Is-Best/Firefox-automatic-install-for-Linux could interest you. Hope it helps.

how to add anothe button "new private window"
It looks like you are using your distro provided version of Firefox. Use https://github.com/Linux-Is-Best/Firefox-automatic-install-for-Linux to download a Mozilla build that comes with the Private Window option you want.

ubuntu 22.04LTS unable to install firefox in container
I use https://github.com/Linux-Is-Best/Firefox-automatic-install-for-Linux/ for Nightly, but you could probably use it for release as well.
- Which option is safer and officially recommended by Mozilla?

Why would GitHub un-do my work?!
This will be the 2nd time GitHub has proven to be problematic. The 1st time was over a year ago and you can read about it here: https://github.com/Linux-Is-Best/Firefox-automatic-install-for-Linux/issues/3

Code review: Firefox Automatic Install for Linux
Understanding that there are three types of people, I have included three (3) different ways to install Mozilla Firefox. One of them is the personal installer, which does not require SUDO and does not install Firefox for everyone, just you, privately, isolated in your own little corner. You seemed to have missed that part. https://github.com/Linux-Is-Best/Firefox-automatic-install-for-Linux/tree/master/personal

How to copy a file to all users and have that file obtain the correct ownership and permissions
Here is the developer branch. I am working (coding) in my browser window, so I wouldn't clone the developer branch if I were you. lol https://github.com/Linux-Is-Best/Firefox-automatic-install-for-Linux/tree/Linux-Is-Best-patch-1/personal

Guess I won't sleep tonight.
I was so tired (sleepy) that when I finally wrapped it up and published my release, I forgot a file. I had to re-release the whole development because of it. lol https://github.com/Linux-Is-Best/Firefox-automatic-install-for-Linux/releases

Whatbis your opinion on Linux that will make your comment look like this (taken from another sub)
You by no means have to use the snap. I use a shellscript: https://github.com/charmparticle/ffupdate

Snap Firefox vs Official Firefox from their site
I prefer to just use ffupdate and tbupdate. Firefox releases binary compatible browsers for linux, why not take advantage of it?

What tools / utilities have you written that you use regularly?
ffupdate is a script which will update firefox, either vanilla, beta, nightly, or devedition. I made this because debian does not provide the latest firefox, and downloading and installing firefox by hand, while better than compiling from source, is tedious. This script automates the whole process of installing and updating firefox, and it can also install and update thunderbird. I have since learned that lots of other people wrote scripts to accomplish the same thing, so my scripts get lost in the shuffle in github.
