Diagram for Describing Physics Objects in Unity
That way they follow the ground but can still collide with objects attached to it. I even used this idea to make obstacle courses without having to worry about the player getting thrown off for a multiplayer game (that was this project https://github.com/nicholas-maltbie/FallingParkour). Happy to talk about it more if you have any other questions.

Am I blind or is Character Class Creation this hard?
I do have a multiplier networked character controller with prefab variations from a previous project. * mirror networking - look under Assets/Prefabs/Player - https://github.com/nicholas-maltbie/PropHunt-Mirror * mlapi - https://github.com/nicholas-maltbie/FallingParkour

Started as a bug, but it's too fun to give up now
I was frustrated by the lack of a character controller and documentation online so I made my own (people sold them for like $60 on the asset store, I don't want to pay that for a silly project with friends). Here is the source code for the character controller if you're interested KinematicCharacterController.cs. I'm going to try and make a series of short videos explaining how it works.

Started as a bug, but it's too fun to give up now
This game dev stuff is mostly an excuse for me to learn more C# but I'm really enjoying the experience so far. I want to modularize a bunch of the parts of the project and release them as standalone assets. I already have completed this for the conveyer belts https://github.com/nicholas-maltbie/Scrolling-Shaders-Example and am working on finishing up these changes for the recolor shader https://github.com/nicholas-maltbie/Recolor-Shader-Example

Conveyer Belts via Shaders in Unity
I'll make a new post and new video if I get those procedural meshes + UV Mapping working! I have a fun video for next week planned explaining this repo as well - https://github.com/nicholas-maltbie/Recolor-Shader-Example more procedural texture editing.

Making an Open Source Project Similar to Fall Guys - Feedback Welcome
I'm adding more development and games with weekly posts so any new ideas or suggestions are welcome! I'm planning on breaking out assets out into smaller packages so anything you would like to add to your project or look into further I'll be happy to cleanup and make a separate asset/project for like I did with the recolor shader in the project - https://github.com/nicholas-maltbie/Recolor-Shader-Example
