Kit mods that are actually worth playing (+ add your own favorites)
Divine Remix: diversifies the range of cleric and ranger kits. Several of these are fun, but imo the standouts are the Holy Strategist and Feywarden kits. The ranger kits are also nicely varied. Bowslinger is a slightly more magical archer, feralan (a planned but unimplemented kit, also available through Unfinished Business) is an unarmored barbarian-type who can rage and summon animals, and the Forest Runner is a Robin Hood-type charismatic ranger. Please note: use the fork linked above, not the official G3 one, which is not fully EE-compatible.

Cowled Wizards
Just a note re: Divine Remix - the official download doesn't play nice on the EEs, so you need this fork. The sphere system does not work, but the basic kits do.

Glitched companions! I wonder what caused this

Mod overview: Tweaks, convenience mods, quality of life, and other minor enhancements
NPC EE: Equivalent in functionality to Level 1 NPCs and SCS’ NPC customization, this mod equips all joinable NPCs with an item which, when activated, allows you to change their class, kit, stats, and/or proficiencies.

Glitched companions! I wonder what caused this
I'd be willing to bet it was Lvl 1 NPCs, given that iirc it's supposed to de-level NPCs to let you reset their class/stats. I've been using NPC EE instead and it's been pretty foolproof, in my experience.

Preparing for first BG2EE playthru.
I'd recommend NPC EE in lieu of Lvl1 NPCs, personally.

Mod Question: Deities of Faerun vs Faith and Powers
EEkeeper hasn't been properly maintained for awhile and it may not be the most reliable method for a heavily modded install. Supposedly there can be issues with certain variables and effects not getting properly saved. Dual 2 kit works fine, or you can install the NPC EE mod and use one of the kit tomes for yourself - eg, cheat it into your inventory with this code: C:CreateItem("d5_ckit") and then use the item it spawns.
