Is it possible to use the overlay without running a game?
Streamers sometimes use https://streamkit.discord.com/overlay within an OBS browser source but that doesn't actually render on the desktop afaik. https://github.com/trigg/DiscordOverlayLinux uses streamkit's overlay as a desktop overlay but it's specifically meant for Linux as Linux doesn't have native overlay support.
