For home assistant you are probably better off trying this implementation: https://github.com/And3rsL/Deebot-for-hassio .

I’m going the to have to return the Ecovacs T20 Omni - mainly because the app is just so bad.
I'm using Valetudo on my Dreame but it doesn't support Ecovacs. A quick Google search revealed this however, so if you're technically inclined you might want to try it out.

Robot vacuum cleaner integration with Bumper
Main concern with wifi/app based devices are about sharing data with manufacturer servers. I have tumbled upon one app/service Bumper which claim that it can be used as local server for Ecovacs devices using MQTT. I didn't find much information online and looking for some feedback whether anyone here managed to install local server for these kind of devices.

is there a known list for ecovacs robot vacuums?
Check the documentation for bumper an open source, self hosted implementation of the Ecovacs server. One of the steps for setting bumper up is using pihole to change response for DNS lookups for the Ecovacs servers with the address of the bumper server. There should be enough info in there to make a block list. I'm not sure that the X1 is supported by bumper, but maybe worth a try.

Valetudo is a cloud-free web interface for robot vacuum cleaners
There are a couple of these. Here's one for ECOVACS:

Wonder to be able to disentangle these devices from invasive phone apps.

Is there an alternative to ECOVACS HOME?
I also saw this recently which allows you to use the ecovacs app, but run the server locally: https://github.com/bmartin5692/bumper

Why ecovac relies on a cloud servers to be able to work? It so frustrating when you can't do simple things because the serves are out. It should be possible to work offline.
There is a standalone locally hosted open source version https://github.com/bmartin5692/bumper
