  • Help with mythic path/build? Azata or Angel or Lich? (Or demon?)
    1 project | /r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker | 15 Nov 2023
I want to play a blaster caster or kineticist but I'm having trouble deciding what to go with. I'm using the spellbook merge mod which adds spellbook merging for other mythic paths. I'm also using dark codex which adds cool new stuff for kineticist and also makes zippy magic work with it.
  • Primal Druid PLay style help
    1 project | /r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker | 3 Jul 2023
Elemental Rampager used to be a fun archetype for Wildshaped DPS. But then Owlcat nerfed Elemental Barrage so its glory days are long gone, unless you use a mod to partially bring them back.
  • Natural weapons: How exactly do they work?
    1 project | /r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker | 16 Jun 2023
Dark Codex adds Feral Combat Training to WotR. Natural weapons are still not great though. 1/2 BAB classes who still want to be effective in melee get the most out of them, since they won't ever get as many weapon attacks as they can get natural attacks, but making natural weapons effective burns a lot of feats and full casters are better off spending their feats on their casting. It's a build you do for the fun of making something silly work.

Dark Codex if you want more OP cheese, like buffing Kineticists, extra Limitless mythic abilities (Limitless Bombs! Limitless Bardsongs!), and bringing back some golden-oldie cheese that Owlcat nerfed, like Elemental Barrage proccing off weapon effects or Kinetic Blasts working with Zippy Magic.
  • New player struggling with Judge builds, any advice?
    1 project | /r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker | 6 Jun 2023
Everlasting Judgement should be your first Mythic ability, that's what enables you to use Judgements constantly. Unfortunately it doesn't apply to Judgment Aura unless you use a mod, so those are still saved for tougher fights. Another issue for Judge is most of its abilities are swift actions which compete for first-round action economy.
  • Alchemist Bombs - can someone explain?
    1 project | /r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker | 5 Jun 2023
Since you're already modding: Dark Codex adds Limitless Bombs as a Mythic Ability. So bombs away all day!
  • Fire or Earth?
    1 project | /r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker | 24 May 2023
BTW if you're on PC, you should check out the Dark Codex mod which adds a bunch of new features for Kineticists, especially Kinetic Knights.
  • Is Judge Fun?
    2 projects | /r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker | 21 May 2023
I haven't tried Judge myself but I think you're going to want the Dark Codex mod which makes Everlasting Judgement also apply to Judgement Aura. So it goes from a finite-use buff to one you can spam for every trash fight. :)
  • Kineticist Knight
    1 project | /r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker | 21 May 2023
If you're on PC, I suggest checking out the Dark Codex mod, it adds a lot of extra stuff for Kineticists in general and Kinetic Knights in particular, like giving them Kinetic Whip. Otherwise WotR Kinetic Knight is a gimped version of an already niche archetype, unfortunately.
  • Pounce charge build questions
    1 project | /r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker | 5 May 2023
There's a tiny mod which reverts Demonic Charge back to the way it used to work. And Dark Codex adds an option for using Quicken with Demon Teleport.

  • all exotic weapon proficiencies?
    1 project | /r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker | 6 Jul 2023
That said, in order to optimize your DPS you do want a couple of weapon-specific feats, such as Improved Critical + Mythic Improved Critical. So if you're on PC, consider the Weapon Focus Plus mod, which uses fighter weapon groups so you can take e.g. Improved Critical for Heavy Blades (longsword, scimitar, falchion, etc.) rather than a single sword type. I.e., your MC has taught themselves how to use any weapon, but they still have a forte.

Right behind them are VisualAdjustments2, BubbleTweak (mostly for the animation-speed tweaks), Weapon Focus Plus (especially for Shifter or any other natural-attack-focused build, makes them sooo much better when you only need one set of feats), and Enduring Rework (finally makes Enduring Spells useful on its own and not just a "feat tax" you pay on your way to Greater Enduring Spells). Add Combat Relief if you hate crusade management but don't want to set it to Auto; not using it myself but other Redditors said it still works.
  • Feyform Shifter + Trickster build suggestions
    1 project | /r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker | 30 May 2023
If you're on PC, I recommend the Weapon Focus Plus mod so you only need one set of feats to cover all your natural attacks. Much more reasonable than trying to take, like, a dozen crit feats to cover everything.
  • Any mods a first time player should use/download?
    3 projects | /r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker | 14 May 2023
My second-tier mods are BubbleTweak and Weapon Focus Plus. You can play WotR without them but they're hella convenient for the speed tweaks and feat consolidation, respectively. In particular, WFP makes natural-attack-based classes/builds like Shifter a lot better because you only need one set of feats to cover all natural attacks, instead of one set for claws, one set for bites, etc.
  • Arcane Hellknight Signifier - how to build it properly?
    2 projects | /r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker | 13 May 2023
BTW since you're already using mods, I recommend adding Weapon Focus Plus so that your weapon feats apply to weapon groups and not just individual weapons. I.e., I take the bardiche weapon feats while leveling, knowing they also apply to glaives so I can use them as well before Death's Consonant.

  • Your best 2H Weapon ?
    1 project | /r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker | 11 Apr 2023
Somewhat more balanced (though probably has an outsized effect on natural weapons) is this mod that has Weapon Focus apply to weapon groups.
  • Gold Dragon + Shifter?
    1 project | /r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker | 2 Apr 2023
GD form gets six natural attacks per round: one bite (2d8), two claws (2d6), two wing attacks (1d8), and one tail slap attack (2d6). If you don't want to have to deal with four different sets of feats, I'd recommend the Weapon Focus Plus mod.
  • What's the best 2H weapon for KC?
    1 project | /r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker | 21 Mar 2023
If you're on PC, I would recommend the Weapon Focus Plus mod which uses fighter Weapon Training groups for those feats.
